When you land at Hanoi (HAN) or Ho Chi Minh (SGN) airports, you’ll see kiosks selling tourist SIM cards right in the arrivals hall. They’ll set it up for you on the spot, so you can walk out with instant internet access.

👉 But be aware: airport SIM cards are more expensive. You’re paying for the convenience. If you can wait, you’ll find the same packages at local shops or convenience stores in the city for much cheaper. Also, especially in Hanoi, be prepared for the torrent of shouting from kiosk workers trying to grab your attention.

⚠️ Important: Bring your passport. If you’re at the airport this shouldn’t be an issue, but by law, SIM cards in Vietnam must be registered under your name, and staff will take a copy of your passport to complete the setup.
